2.2 If you upload an image showing a person, you decide its content and how the Visual is used. For this data, Parisia acts on your behalf, as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR. This processing is governed by the data processing agreement, which you accept together with the Terms of Use.

3.3 The data requested to create the Account is mandatory: last name and first name, email, password, company or brand name, and country. Without it, the Account cannot be created. The tax number is optional.
Article 4 – Uploaded images, Visuals and alt texts
4.1 Your uploaded images are used solely to create the Visuals or alt texts you request. Parisia does not use them, any more than your Visuals, to train artificial intelligence models. The AI Providers that Parisia uses undertake, in their terms, not to use them either to train their own models.
4.2 Uploaded images may be analysed automatically by the AI Providers’ safety filters, which refuse those they consider contrary to their rules. A refused image is not deducted from your quota. Parisia cannot change an AI Provider’s decision.
4.3 Parisia deletes your uploaded images from the Service once processing is complete, and no later than 24 hours after upload. AI Providers may keep a copy for a limited period, in particular to check compliance with their usage rules, for example to detect unlawful content or fraud, or to meet their legal obligations.
4.4 The plugin converts your images on your site’s server, without sending them to Parisia. An image is sent to Parisia only to write its alt text, once your site is linked to your Account. This image and the contextual information that accompanies it are deleted from the Service once processing is complete, and no later than 24 hours afterwards.
4.5 Once deleted from the Service, your files are no longer accessible from your Account. The corresponding technical files may remain for some time with our hosting providers, until they are erased by them, according to their own timescales.
Article 5 – Recipients and service providers
5.1 Parisia shares your data only with the service providers it needs to provide the Service: creation of Visuals and alt texts (AI Providers), hosting, payment, invoicing, sending emails and website audience measurement. They process it on Parisia’s behalf, under contracts that govern its use.
5.2 Some service providers may also use your data for their own obligations. This is the case for the payment provider, for fraud prevention and compliance with its legal obligations, and for the AI Providers, under the conditions of Article 4.3.
5.3 Parisia may also share your data with administrative or judicial authorities, where the law requires it.
Article 6 – Transfers outside the European Union
6.1 Some of Parisia’s service providers process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States, where the application is hosted, and in Singapore. These transfers are governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission or, for some US service providers, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the Commission. You can obtain a copy of these safeguards by writing to contact@parisia.app.
Article 7 – Cookies
7.1 The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work: logging in to your Account, security, including payment security, and remembering your language. These cookies do not require your consent.
7.2 Parisia’s presentation site measures its audience with Umami, a tool that uses no cookies and no persistent identifier. The statistics are aggregated and do not allow you to be identified. The data is hosted in the European Union and kept for 6 months. This measurement does not require a consent banner; you can object to it by writing to Parisia (Article 10).
Article 8 – Marketing emails
8.1 Parisia may send you emails with information about its news and offers, related to your activity.
8.2 You may object at any time, free of charge, to receiving these emails, by clicking the unsubscribe link in each of them. This choice does not cover emails related to the Service, such as confirmations, invoices, the trial-end reminder or information about a change to the terms.
Article 9 – Security
9.1 Parisia implements technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks to protect your data, and chooses service providers that offer security guarantees. These measures reduce risks but cannot eliminate them entirely.
Article 10 – Your rights
10.1 You have the following rights over your data:
• access: to know what data Parisia holds about you and obtain a copy of it;
• rectification: to have inaccurate data corrected;
• erasure: to request the deletion of your data;
• restriction: to request that its use be temporarily frozen;
• portability: to receive your data in a reusable format;
• objection: to object to its use based on Parisia’s legitimate interest, and at any time to marketing emails;
• withdrawal of consent: to withdraw your consent at any time, where it was requested, for example for certain cookies;
• post-death directives: to define what happens to your data after your death, and to designate, if you wish, a person to whom it is to be communicated. Otherwise, your Account is deleted under the conditions of Article 3.2.
10.2 To exercise these rights, write to contact@parisia.app. Parisia replies within one month. This period may be extended by two months if the request is complex or if requests are numerous; you are then informed within the first month. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, Parisia may ask you to prove it. Some rights have limits: for example, Parisia keeps data that a legal obligation requires it to keep, such as invoices.
10.3 If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
Article 11 – Changes to the policy
11.1 Parisia may amend this policy, in particular in the event of a change of service provider or a change in the law. The version in force is available at any time on the Service and shows its update date. In the event of a significant change, you are informed by email.
